Tambobong Beach, Dasol, Pangasinan

Our family's recent summer trip last April, was in Dasol Pangasinan, called Tambobong Beach which is slowly gaining popularity specially now that getting there is a lot easier. Before it used to be a very bumpy ride as you'll be travelling a long stretch of rough road once your off the hi-way. Even though the roads now are concrete it still it took us more than 7 hours (stop overs included) from Quezon City to Tambobong Beach and going back to Q.C.

The route we took going to Dasol, Pangasinan was via NLEX, then passing by Subic Freeport into the other towns of Zambales. Going bak to Quezon City we tried a different route, this time we passed by Dagupan and other towns in Pangasinan heading for Tarlac then proceeded to enter SCTEX and then later on to NLEX.

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a very nice place, not too crowded yet. The water is clear but there were seaweeds on the shore due the recent typhoon as told by one of the locals whom my Uncle was chatting to, but it really didn't bother us much.

We went there without any reservations from any of the resorts, luckily we found available cottages for PHP1,500 a night. We stayed at two different cottages from two different resorts (why? more of that later). We brought with us our two dogs, a medium sized Aspin and a Labrador Retriever.

On our 2nd day, we rented a boat for PHP 1,000 (good for 6-8 persons) which was arranged by the staff of the resort. We visited Colibra Island and Crocodile Island. I know that there are other places that you can visit, but we specifically just wanted to visit those two island. You can inquire in the resort where you will be staying or just ask the boatman for other destinations that you can visit.

Going there via public transportation, as per the other blogs that I read before, you'll need to board a bus bound for Alaminos, Pangasinan which will pass by the town of Sta.Cruz Zambales and tell the driver to drop you off at Burgos Market. From there hire a tricycle that will take you to Tambobong beach. Fare is 300 good for 3 persons.

Below are some of the photos taken during our trip.
